Shrinking attachment alert !

Postby digiot » Fri Dec 18, 2015 6:09 pm

Recently, I tried to post a screenshot here, but it didn't work.
I got the message : The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 100 KiB.
What is going on here, any clues ?

Cheers !

No, you're not. Most people just have began uploading their images and demos elsewhere and then linking them here.

Ok, but then, could you tell me, why others can attach an image + demo, over 1 mb large ?
Nearly everyone has an image in the title, but mine gets "censored" for incomprehensible
reasons.

What image files have you tried to upload? I now recall that I've had the same problem sometimes, and I think it happened only with a certain image type. Try to upload your picture as another kind of image file and see if that helps. You could try jpg, bmp, png for example. :)

I wasn't aware, that the Forum Software decides between pictures and other files.
Now, as quality-reduced jpg (99 kb), it is being accepted.
The former png has had ca. 500 kb.
Thank you for your help !
+1

Cheers !
