Hey everyone, im new to this place, so please forgive me if i come across as a newbie, with all these questions..

First off, GE is a nice peice of software, keep up the good work! :]
Now.. to my question..
Im having some trouble setting these colisions up. I followed the tutorials that come with GE and i think I understand more or less what needs to be done. However, when it comes to me doing it to a game of my own, the character always seems to just fall through the floor. can someone help me out with this, because im totally lost..

I'll post a video of what I mean shortly.

Hey, you dont have to worry no one in these forums is mean :D What ever questions you have, ask them :) Soemone will answere :D however I dont have the time right now, sorry :( Anyways, yeah no one here will make fun of you or call you a noob or anything like that :D These are probably the most friendly forums ever :3

- On : Any Side
- Of Actor : Floor
- Repeat this event : Yes

Physical Response :
- Event multiplier : 1
- Collide multiplier : 1
- Event actor : 0
- Collide actor : 0

Ive tried doing what you have posted but the player sprite still falls through the ground. :/

Try this:
Player-Collision Event :
- On : Any Side
- Of Actor : Floor
- Repeat this event : No

Physical Response :
Specify
- Event : 1
- Collide : 1
- Event actor : 0
- Collide actor : 0

May I see your game project?
Or look on this demo how it works.
Just for note, don't use slim platform as the floor.

ahhh Thanks bee, i just noticed what I was doing wrongto you!
I put the colision script on the ground, not the player.

Wont make taht mistake again :P

Hello,

Its impossible to have the colision event on the floor? Is there any equivalent to the MOVE_EVENT_ACTOR_ONLY command, something like MOVE_PLAYER_ONLY (where "PLAYER" would be the name of the main character)?

Hi marcus

It's usually called "Collide Actor".
Just check on the Physical Response dialog box.
