A fully open-world, non-linear Pokémon game, set in the entire goddamn world.
Where you can do whatever the arse you want, with a completely optional main storyline. much like TES

It's obviously never going to happen, but I can dream, can't I?

Wow, so there is really a China, and America and Pokemon?... That's going to be weird for a new pokemon generation, but for a pokemon spin-off, that's going to be awesome! :D
Hey, let's try making THAT game in game-editor though it is impossible at the moment.
P.S: Lol, this is going to be a pokemon thread. Yay! :D

The Pokémon games are set in our world. It's pretty obvious if you think about it.

For example, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are all based off locations in Japan, while Unova is based off Manhattan and Kalos is based off France (obviously).
Also, in the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island, there are some books documenting the discovery of Mew, somewhere in South America.

Ok, I knew Kanto and Johto are based of Japan, and Kalos based off France, but those others... I didn't know. So what you mean is instead of pokemon town/city names, we use real place city names? And a more "free" pokemon storyline? :P

Real continents, maybe. Cities, no.
And a more "free" pokemon storyline? :P

How about a gazillion storylines?

Ahhhh now I see where you're getting at. Something like Harvest Moon, with optional storylines (Love stories, barbecue parties and etc) and stuff, but having a main storyline too?

I was thinking more like TES, but yes.

I wanted that too, they could totally utilize a home console's power for this, the Wii U could do this definitely, Nintendo and Game Freak are too much into their neat, little Pokemon formula to do anything big like that. Of course, the whole world would be a bit hard, seeing as there is a lot of world in this world, but I am sure they can shorten it down to regions, but many regions.

We'll see what gen VII is about. Hopefully the pokemon world will be more diverse and more to the real world like that. That will make pokemon really interesting, and that also calls for longer gameplay.
I also wish that there was much more we can do after finishing the main story, maybe more than the story itself, though I couldn't imagine...
