Transparency's, how much performance hit on POCKETPC, GP2X ?

If I have 3 or 4 transparency's, but they dont move and have an actor moving in front of 2 of them and behind the other 2 on Z depth, will this slow up on PocketPC's and GP2X etc.? Is non moving better than moving, performance wise?

Just wondering what performance is like as I dont have either of them to test on atm. I guess it depends on sizes also.

Thanks,
Scythe

If you have changes in the area occupied by the transparent actors, like a screen move, an actor move, or, in your case, an actor moving over the transparent actors, the transparent actor need to be repainted again. So, yes you will have a slow down when comparated with non transparent actors.

I guess it depends on sizes also.

Sure! A bigger actor will take more time to draw than a little one.

Thanks makslane, great sw btw :). I guess I will just have to plan things a little more carefuly to compensate, have a plan B :), maybe a few tweaks for the slower systems if i release a version for them.
