does anyone know how to create animated GIF images?

.gif are layered images, when edited. I use the gimp for making animated gifs. I am pretty sure that most image editors, with layers, will allow you to do this. With the gimp, you would save a layered image as a .gif, and it will ask if you want it to be animated.

here you can use most file types and just upload howevermany images your gif will have and it make

i am yet to try GIMP, but it looks like it is going to work,

i use a program called Macromedia Fireworks.. 8.0 i think
its expensive and works like photoshop
same company too (Macromedia is now Adobe)

I'm sorry to hear that, but there must be something worng. Any time i need a gif i use this, and i have never had trouble.....

I dont like using macromedia fireworks, but gimp works perfectly.
