Dang "=" key still isnt working

What is the problem here? I thought it was my old laptop being strange caused the equals key not to fuction (wont type the = sign in the scripting windows) but now I just bought a brand new winds vista computer , a complete reinstall of game editor pro 1.3.8 and god damn it i still cant enter a friggin equals sign in the scripts windows! Do you know how hard it is to make anything without being able to type =? like x=x+1; ya CAN'T DO IT!!! whats wrong PLEASE can anyone help me out here!!!

I can type the equal Sign in all of the script windows.

sorry, I do not know what the problem is. :(

maybe try holding down the equal key for a few seconds and seeing if somthing shows up. :D

unknown key

The equals key along with "[" are refered to as Unknown key when i tried to set them as keys in the config for the GP2x keys. does this help you understand the problem ? also the normal [ and ] and \ are mapped as other keys??? the \ is mapped as [ ... the real "[" is an unknown key. the real "]" is mapped as [
does any of this help in any way to an answer?
ps. any other windows program uses them completely normal. and it's a normal 102key US keyboard

what happens when you copy and paste an = sign into the script editor?

you do not have to configure keys for Game Editor usage if that is what you are talking about.
