I am new obviously to GE

Just a question where would be the best place to start the learning process. Been looking at all the forums but maybe i am missing it is the a like intro or something to the program?

I think the best way to start learning is to download game template...:

JUMPING (and Double Jump!), CHECKPOINTS, GRADUAL MOVEMENT, TILES, DAMAGING ACTORS, ENEMIES, HEALTH AND POWER, BUTTONS, SHIELDS Template:

Real Time Strategy template:

Platform Game Template:

...and study all codes. Then try to make a similar game by yourself.

But it's only my opinion... maybe i'm wrong :D

or Automail10's Teachings for Beginners. it has lots of stuff in it.

Game editor also comes with some built in tutorials. You could try those, since those are probably the simplest examples. You can access these from the splash dialog that comes up when you first start GE. You can also see them with Help->Getting Started. There is a list of tutorials.

Also, if you go to Help->Demo Making Of there are two tutorials on two types of games there.

So, I would do the built in stuff first. Then go to the examples provided by 4erv' and then maybe automails tuts or someone else's.

Auto's can also be used a refrence and has some advanced scripts you can learn later.
