im a newbie and have the dream and passion to create games like the once I saw in gameblast or popcap..etc... basically, id like the idea of having a sim game continously running even if the device is off...I prefer to develop these kind of games in pocket pc and windows platform....ANY TIP... IF I CAN DO THIS IN GAME EDITOR???? thank you all in advance for any help you can OFFER.

Those games dont really run when they are turned off; thats just a clever illusion.

What the creators of those games have done is record the time at shut down, and compare it against the time when you restart, and calculate what would have happened in that time(fish growth, starvation). Then they update the view.

hello there, many thanks for enlighting me!!!...now I know a little bit of the tricks! if you still kind enough to tell me further...since you said its possible...is there a book or video tutorial that I can follow to save time in learning I know babies aren't born overtime....but just wondering if theres any...Ill be glad to hear about it.
