Anyone know how to make animal cry with midi?

i know of 2 ways to do this. One is if your midi sequencer allows fine tuning of the channel, you can play with that to make the voice cry.

The other is to make two channels for that voice, one on a high note, one on a lower note, then alter the volumes so they fade between each other.

I can really post an example until i reinstall windows, (still have 40 gb of stuff to archive first).
