That really sucks, but I guess it is time to start anew. Now you should be able to code better than when you started, so now you can make everything better. This happened to me twice.

I did!! But when I ejected it, the computer froze, restarted, all on its own, and like corrupted the whole thing. After I already deleted everything off the computer. Yes, I already emptied the recyle bin. I'm like feeling so depressed right now. I haven't touched Game Editor. I've almost lost the want now. HOURS of work... just GONE.

That's sad to hear. :( I guess all you can do is to start working on something new.
But I have one question.. did you use that "Safely remove device" -thing Windows has?

Quite many people don't use it, as the files usually stay unharmed even if you just take the usb drive from the computer.
I have always used it, but once I took the drive from the computer without using it, and the files went corrupted.
So I strongly recommend everyone to use it, because not using it sets your files to a danger every time you remove the drive from your computer.
And it's just three clicks, so I guess everyone has time for that :D

I now regret not doing that. >.< I'd just eject but as I did all that stuff happened and I about launched it. I swear to god I never felt so angry at an inanimate object. Lol but I'm sure soon I'll get an idea and try that. Well now I'm running windows 8.1 :D I kinda dig it. This things quad core at 2.40 GHz a price.

I know how you feel dude. I lost everything when my acer was broken. (Even my first beautiful minecraft world from 1.5_01 beta T^T) Good thing I can do better things in this computer than that one now, so I don't regret it anymore. I bet you could do that too. :)

My PC was really sick before.. so i just brought it to a PC "expert" who actually re-installed my PC (like i can't do it by myself) without any permission.. and took us money. So i lost everything i did with hard work. I knew that.. even fully formated hard drive still keeps archived information about my files. If not "System Restore" then i downloaded as a torrent purchased version of a program that scan Hard Drive sectors and recovers the information. Of course.. sometimes the information is not full and the file is damaged (partly-recovered) so i was partly-happy but as people said.. at least satisfied.

To be honest.. loosing your work could be like "No throw it away, it sucks".. and you could get better motivation and experience and start from the beginning.. but this time, with more knowledge and efforts. I actually do the same thing (thats why i don't finish my games in fast) But thats just me.. i am doing it to gain experience on that way. Next time make sure to backup your things on external hard drive or flash drive. My advise is to not look it on the bad way, because of course.. it won't be really pleasantly. There are aways good points of everything. Look at them and you will get AT LEAST happier.

btw i have recovered successfully the sexy cutie i lost during the system format. :D

Have you tried with PhotoRec?
This tool doesn't care about the messed filesystem.. it just get the stuff directly from disk data, of course... only recognized file can be recovered, but maybe you can still recover the art (png/jpg etc) and stuff?
