It took 56 000 actors on screen before my computer started getting slower o_O

Had around 40000 Actors on screen and Framerate < 10 FPS :) (Intel Core2Duo, 2x2.5Ghz, 4GB RAM, WinXP Pro 32 Bit, Nvidia Gfx)

No word of a lie, I had 80,000 actors on screen with 5FPS... however then my PC completely froze! :D

I got up to 50,000 actors with 7FPS without freezing my PC. :D

Would you get much better results with a functioning graphics card?

actually you might get worst fps, when you have no video card or it's not working, it's usually the bios that handles displaying, which is incredibly slow due to no hardware acceleration.
But, cpu doesn't get in the way for this, while with a graphic card needs to handle something with the cpu. Though this part is only speculation

10fps @ 50 000 with a broken cpu (Pentiumd D, the first dual core. Two individual CPU in one, not just two core, and one core is broken)

This remind of the program I made resembling this, except it would add actors automatically and delete them afterwards, and tell you if you have a good computer or not! There was suppose to be a function that writes to a file too

My computer went to 100000 at 25 fps but then GE crashed! :lol:
