Clone Battle Apocalypse!

(some of you can see what's coming when DST uses 'apocalypse' in his game title...)

It stars J and has most of the features you requested (there's no moonwalking fix and no save/load) but everything else is there.

I know you want exe's only, but this version doesn't work in exe format. Something is wrong with the xscreen and yscreen commands (but only in the exe version).

If you want you can try to export it, but I think its just easier to post the ged for now, as the ged works fine.

relax dude, chill a little -_-

it takes more than a day for most people to make a game; there's school, work, homework, and other things. You can't constantly be making games, or that fast for that matter

lol... I'm just a bit impatient. That's just who I am...

DST's entry: Funny game, but what's the meaning of the freeze ray?

And we need 2 judges for this contest.
Judge list comes in later posts.
CURRENT JUDGE LIST:

Some of the rules is just for RPGs and platformers.

One thing i'd like you all to learn from this demo, is to notice how i didn't use timers for timed events. I only used one timer, to send a global event to the dudes, but all the rest i used counting variables for timers. Its soooo much easier to change, and one variable can be an unlimited number of timers.

For instance, make the timer count up, and when it reaches 60, reset it to 0 and do something. Now, what happens if i set the variable to 61 in an event? well, i can let it count up and perform another action at 100. By cueing the variable one after the last event, you simply trigger the new event. Thus, unlimited actions off one counter.

and to trigger the timer? how about control.limit=61; instead of CreateTimer("control", "1", 60);

I said this in response to J's question about the freeze ray; i should have just set the variable to make it last longer, thus freezing them so you can use another weapon on them while they're still frozen; fortunately.....thats REALLY EASY TO DO!

And 4erv, take two things into consideration: I've spent more time on GE than most World Of Warcraft players have spent playing world of warcraft. Practice practice practice!

A hundred percent agree concerning timers. I can't remember ever to have used one except in one sickman game where I needed the invincibility event to end after the invincibility music ended. That's about the only time I can think of (I think I really needed it there since controlling and calculating variable counts in seconds is a bit harder).

MrJ, I don't think we need judges. At least not yet since there's only one game submitted. We'll better let everyone decide. Vote on it or something.
Like, everyone tell us in his comment what he thinks, which game should be the winner.
