there is a bug with the frames and stuff. I don't know if the new version has taken care of this or not, but when the frames are in multiple files, ge dosn't follow them in order. even when all the frames are in a single file, it will skip one or two. how can this be fixed?

About the multiple files, I had this problem too, BUT I found out how to stop it.
About the single files, I have not had this problem, and of course not found out how to stop it.

To fix the multiple files, just rename you frames, "Frame_0" "Frame_1" "Frame_2" "Frame_3" etc...
The word frame in the examples stands for your object name. Always remember to start at 0. This should fix it. :)

frame10.gif will play before frame9.gif. 1 is smaller than nine. What you need to do is add leading zeros to all the frames under 10.

frame01
frame02
frame03
frame04
frame05
frame06
frame07
frame08
frame09
frame10

001
002
003
etc
if it's over 100 frames
(I think you know :) )

thanx but u see I am trying to make all my tiles in a single file (and there are a lot of them) and for some reason, it will skip some tiles over altogether. so then i have to repeat some tiles to stop them from getting skipped. and another thing happened, the file is about 30 frames horizontally and 8 frames vertically, and for some reason, the last column is totally skipped!

It may be that you dont have your blocks aligned properly, so as the frame advance they shift left and/or right, which could explain why your last frames seem blank.

Can you post the image so that we can see if there are any problems with it?

I made sure to make them all the same size so that it would not do anything crazy. but the only thing crazier is that the tiles in the lower right of the file don't work at all! allow me to explain say one of them is a brick tile. i choose that tile and try to place it. whn it is placed, it turns out to be a grass tile that I have somewhere else in the file! what is going on???!!!
