eureka !

because of the help provided by skydereign.... i've been able to figure some critical areas of game componentry.
skydereign?, if you're seeing this message, thanks a million buddy once again. the example skydereign showed me gave me the insight on how to create load/save points score value. if i can get the chance to, of the small bits & pieces i've been able to create on my own i plan on either posting them here if i'm allowed to, or if not, i could provide sendspace links for those who would be interested in obtaining them if they would find them worth using. what i could do is provide the link and put a comment nearby it describing what the component is expected to do. i still think this forum could need a section devoted to a database of knowledge (if it doesn't exist already.... i've not looked around very much in the forum since i've joined) that could include all the items necessary to create the basic mechanics/infrastructure of a game.

dont worry sky reads all the posts and im sure he appreciates the thanks (though hes never seems to let that on) the forum has plenty of stuff to learn from such as saving. id you give him a point? problem is that a lot of the things you find are tailored to the original poster. skys pretty good at breaking it down for understanding though not everyone puts in teh effort to learn it that way. post here to support the cause for a tutorial forum. maybe if we have enough interest mak will make the new forum! :D
