In digiot's defence, he hasn't been on this in a while.

Gosh, Sky doesn't post anything for a couple weeks and everyone thinks he's dead, calm down people, haha
It's like watching a twitch stream when the streamer loses internet for a minute and the chat goes into panic mode

@spec
lol. Nah. I don't think he is dead at all. If it comes to my opinion. I just said that the only person working on gE development WAS sky. Unlikely it will change.
Wouldn't be bad if it changes though.

No, no, my eyes are fine, and I'm here nearly every day !
I just wasn't in the mood for posting anything anywhere.

But it looks like, if there was something happen behind the scenes, on the
chats or skype, what I have missed...

I'm also not happy about the slow GE development process. Allone having to
offer two geds just for fullscreen and windowed mode is annoying.

You could change it, with your superior C knowledge. But instead, you are only
working on your own projects.

Cheers !

Erm, if you were "not in the mood to post anything anywhere" then why did you do it on a first place?

Besides the point,
I am mostly working on a gE project right now and in case you don't know - it's the gE online.
It appears that my superior C knowledge isn't superior enough to allow me to work on 4 major projects at once for a 3 person community of dissatisfied people.
And so your point is merely inappropriate.

I think Bat is also working on gE! xD
EDIT: Bat posted first.

Quite true. I just decide not to keep people up to date, because
1. It'll benefit nothing and I won't get much of it
2. If it contains code - it will be easier for people to try chinese
3. There is an open topic that specifically says release data : TBA (which is the most important information you'd like to get)

And for the sake of argument I am the only one left to contribute gE itself with stuff that helps the game creation.
Regardless of it being the engine or a new inside-gE feature.
(EDIT: Actually Hblade has released some interesting pointed lighting script as well as text effects. I almost forgot to mention.)

Yeah, if people want a great future for gE, they need to be patient. Development logs or blogs might actually slow it down, but maybe a little heads up (like this one) is ok. :D

Everything could be complete by now but..
My problem isn't motivation (the most common one)
My problem is that users are taking off my motivation that I have naturally :/ (That doesn't mean I don't have)
They argue for nothingness, blame and show no actual support. I am pretty sure there are hundreds of unanswered questions that any user would ask or at least express some wishes.

some others do nothing but wait. Not only they show no support but not even
trying to create a game or.. a minigame. They are up to criticize though.
Which makes them being super arogant.

Obviously, I'm in the mood for posting right now.

And yes, there are nice GE related projects around here, fine.
But as long as there isn't a GE release, which allows to port at least to
Android, and having matured the engine a little, all these work will not
make much sense !
bat78 wrote:Regardless of it being the engine or a new inside-gE feature.

No, again: First the cake, and then the whipped cream !

There must have happen something in the past, like I wrote above, behind the
scenes, what makes it impossible for all of you contributors to work together.
That's really sad !

That of course is a perfect example for being arrogant, and you have spread around
some others recently.
A wellknown, but not too kind programmer behaviour...

Allow me some words about me :
I would call me a part-time active GE-user. The reason I don't post any progress
of my projects is, that people here want to see at least a video, or better
a playable first level. Apart from some dreamery, no serious dev-talk takes
place here.
So I'm just posting now and then, you guess it, like I'm in the mood for.

Cheers !

Ehh, I am too busy with actual work to care for your mood(s). Especially if they randomly change.
Also your are not important to me to care for your opinion.
You create nothing you support nothing, all you do is express your discontent, tips of how to behave "professionally" and turning everything to a nasty childish argument.
This is actually the opposite of "being useful to me or the community".
Also if my work won't make sense to you, go make something yourself, that actually makes sense.

And that you can't even understand simple figurative speech.. -->
Calling me arrogant for saying that people won't understand my spaghetti, specific, large, uncommon. inconsistent, tricky code..
If that makes me arrogant then I must start defining the community as people with divine knowledge beyond all understanding of programmers.
People with more knowledge over my projects than me by myself.

Only the fact you say something like "show me those users" makes me just submit this post and brush off.

Everyone here is posting if and when they want, you don't have to like it.
And only you think, you are important.
You had that arguing about childishness recently with a child, which gave the ball
back to you, goal !
Someone, who behaves like you will never be community compatible.
It's the question, if producing games makes any sense at all. But you and your buddies
are nearly devloping against GE, and trying to talk the real GE-dev down.
Why don't you fork GE ?
If I had the knowledge to help developing GE, I would throw my privat projects in
the corner, and stepping in here.
Your arrogance comes from the way you are talking, not from your code.

No rant here, just some clear words.

Cheers !

I kinda became community incompatible after all your inappropriate prattling.
It is clearly obvious that you answer with more completely unneeded stuff only to have something to respond with, not to actually do something useful, for diversity.
This is what I was doing when I was like 10 and couldn't stand my sister's policy speech. But it's all fine now, when I am ready / which will be surprisingly soon / with something everyone always wanted gE to have + bonus of something they thought gE will never have.. I will not release it immediately and I will let them know it is because of you and your disrespectful manners and thinking like your can dictate me how/when things need to be done. And after all.. I will not be the one who loose. (And not the one with wasted time as I this is the last post I am dealing with). I have everything I aways wanted irl and virtually too. I am still interested in gE, obviously not because the community (if you think otherwise). I was just well-intentioned to share anything until you decided to ruin this topic with a non-entertaining truculent out of nowhere corrupted shit-speaking about everything I shouldn't care of
Now I am even more familiar with one or more of sky's motives to stop messing with the community.
And honestly.. I might not be a great gE contributor yet or any close to sky, but you are by far the only active.... anti-contributor that does nothing else but have the effrontery to define me and put on the hot line my skills, behavior and all.. thinking I am like others to tolerate any more.

Hey bat, can I be put on a white list?
The upcoming GE Protocol is the only reason I've been a regular on the forums, hahaha

But yeah, you guy guys should probably agree to disagree and move on.
It's turning into one of those arguments that only ends when one of the two get bored

Lookup area-A, quadrant 17, section 2, sector 9 of my brain - I already have.

withal I can not put you in any list, because I am not listing people like purchases from grocery (ik it was figurative, but allow me to try to brighten my thoughts)
I am doing exceptions for everyone as long as they show their interest at least w/o accusing and causing drama.
Also I must have them in skype xd
And.. you are welcome.
That way, I will give you even more reasons to be regular on here.
