Hi all. After reading lot's and lot's about the lack of games on this site, I'm prepared to take on the challenge to make a new mini game. More will be revealed on it's own topic. Anyone else developing games?

I am currently working on a game. Actually, I have been for so long, but most of the time I can't finish the game due to my lack of knowledge. I scrapped many ideas due to this.

Well then, just ask for some help maybe hm?
Everyone did this, until they had gained knowledge.

The problem is, most of the time I can't word my problem properly. But I do ask some questions here. Almost every question I asked are answered.

This is very bad then. I would answer to all your questions. Especially if you try hard to describe them accurately.

I am working on a game with ge.
Actually it isn't a game but more like an educational app containing lots of info about scientific topics like gravity calculation and calculating distance from lightning with just a click.(built in shortcut and complete formula)

The target platform is essentially android.
I first thought of programming it myself with android (java) programming, but I am still learning it(java first and then android specific) so ge was a great choice as the deadline was only of a month.

I haven't completed it yet, but from the tests I saw that the super static splash screen of ge is still there, even if I export the game with ge1.4.1 beta which don't contain the splash screen with executable exe.
If anyone know about how to remove it, please explain me.

Hmm, sounds like something new. New ideas are always welcome.
Splash Screen is removed in the beta lol. Watch what you download, install and run.

I agree, the more games made with GE, the better considering there are hundreds of other available game creation software tools out there. Even a game that is smaller is good, since few, if any of us are getting paid to create these games in our spare time outside of work.

What style game is it? Any similar examples in the forums that could help it be finished? I knew nothing about C programming when I started either, now on my 3rd game.
Depending on the game's concept and layout, examples may or may not be available to check out in the forums, which are very helpful.
I'm working on a side scrolling brawler game in my spare spare time, and finally made some decent progress. Speckford had a very useful tip that helped after I asked about it. So it's good to ask questions after you do a search and don't find an answer. Eventually someone might offer tips.

Hi bat78,
I tried what you said - downloaded the ge1.4.1 beta, exported the game using it.
What I see is that the splash screen is removed from the executable engines. (like win exe, macOS exec.....)

But when I
1. export it as game data ( iPhone, iPad or game data without executable engine)
2. build the "android .apk" file using the tutorial given by LcL,
3. and finally install it on my android phone, it still shows the splash screen.

The reason behind this is that, I think the splash screen wasn't removed from the game data export feature. Because splash screen is never shown, when we load it using an executable engine. That's why we never noticed it before.

But it is still a concern for me.

If what I think is the real cause recompiling ge will be the last choice.
I don't know c++ programming, If anyone is able to remove splash screen from the ge1.4.0 source code, please compile ge for me. I will be really thankful.

The splash screen isn't in the game data, it's most likely integrated in the Android port, which again hasn't been updated in a long time and is still only a beta version.
