This turned into a Rainmeter showcase immediately, it seems. Oh well.

HOW?
Very simple! Follow these instructions and you'll be good to go.

Windows 8(.1) users:
1. Go to you desktop, and press "Windows + Prt Scrn". The screen will be darkened for ~1.5 seconds before returning. This shows you that you did it right.
2. Go to any uploading site (ImageShack, Imgur, Photobucket, you name it!), and make an account. You may need to verify your account.
3. Click the (most of the time) big "Upload" button, and navigate to: "Pictures -> Screenshots". The screenshot of your desktop should be saved there.
4. Wait for it to upload, and copy the IMG/Forum link given to you, and post it here!

Other OS users:
1. Go to your desktop and press "Prt Scrn".
2. Open up word or any type of program that let's you paste pictures from your clipboard.
3. Paste it, then right-click, "Save as..." and save it in a place which you can remember.
4. Go to any uploading site (ImageShack, Imgur, Photobucket, you name it!), and make an account. You may need to verify your account.
Click the (most of the time) big "Upload" button, and navigate towhere you saved your screenshot.
5. Wait for it to upload, and copy the IMG/Forum link given to you, and post it here!

The link should look like this (without the periods): [.IMG]http://heregoestheurlandstuffz.com/[./IMG]
Or maybe even: [.URL=http://heregoesaurlandstuffz.com/][.IMG]http://heregoestheurlandstuffz.com/[./IMG]

That's it! Seems like a lot of instructions, but I just wanted to make it as clear as possible for you guys ;)

For the same reason I posted that chicken nugger story.
I.e. for no reason at all.

Now show us your desktop or get out.

I see you use rainmeter.

My main computer hasn't changed much from last time, so here's a screencap of my secondary laptop.

Sure! I redid my rainmeter and icons recently, so this is nice to show off what I messed with, so have a full screenshot!
(click it for full size, obviously)

The thing at the bottom is a histogram / graph / visualizer for the audio output :)

With my old desktop, I was starting to feel like it was far too cluttered with stuff that I could never see in rainmeter, so I focused it down to the really useful stats for me, as well as that neat histogram, and tried to keep it small and focused to the edges of the screen so it would be easy to see it all the time.

It might just be the wallpaper, but that looks like a mess.

Well, time to add several more clocks to my desktop.
You can never have too many clocks.

And on that note, here is my school laptop's desktop:

To use it you need the 3.2 Rainmeter Beta (at least 3.2.0 r2317) and the AudioLevel plugin (install this skin for it)

It's the ColdEQ skin. There's four skins (line, histogram, then upsidedown versions of both). I used the normal histogram and changed the colour to a black transparent and adjusted the height for my desktop.

-snip-

Much better.
And it seems you too are following my philosophy of never too many clocks.
