how do i use the 'savegame' function for an rpg

hey
im making this other game (other than chipmonk warz and defend the abbey) but i was wondering how (in the multi level 1 map game im making) do load the game form the exeact position from when it was saved in the .exe file. does that make any sense to you?

you need to save all the states that need to be saved, mainly like the health and the x and y position.

here is a picture of the first part of the game where the guy is throwing a rock at a frog-crab, i just started workin' on the game an' grafics today so it is not that good.

you need 3 vars, make it liek it can be saved, when like you clock on save button, save those vars, then when you open up the game again, make it load the var again and make it refresh the position.
