Hi,
I'm making a game where the "player" can build labyrints with mouse. (create actor on key down event)
My friend asked is there any thing that I could make so that he could save the labyrint he made and send to me for example by email. Is there any way to make this?
I know that GE can save high scores in some external files, so maybe saving the whole labyrint is possible too?

Use the Save Vars and make a play test button. Once the maker Clicks on the button, make the other events dissapear then make the actor apear and the maker of the laberynth will be able to play his own level.

But he couldn't send the labyrint to someone else. Or play the labyrint after closing the game.

Now that's a hard one. I'll give it some thought and try to help out more. It sounds like a good game.

My game will always be free. It's about some kind of artificial intelligence and you can download allways the latest version from:

You could use the button that says save and have it save the file your on. But the save Game button would have to be made. A file made from your game will do just fine, in other words, once your done with the level, make it so that when you click on the image that saves your gamne, it also saves the variables, then have an open button, but thats hard.

If there could just be a way to save the coordinates of all the pieces of the labyrint in a for example txt file. Then I could try to load the file so that in all the points, it makes the piece. If I will find the way to do it, I'll try first with one actor. Then with the others.
By the way, good luck for your RPG!

You can save the coordinates with a system. It's in a tutorial but I don't remimber where. I started once a RPG (like Dink) and there the game saved the actor's position. This is also used to high-scores in all my Space Invaders games. My games are all in

Tought Space Invaders are very simple.
