Bold!

My (finally) new game.

After being away for a few months now, -I've been busy with school etc.- I have a new game concept. I will however need help with coding and a perfect collision system as the one i have in place at the moment isn't up to snuff.

The game is called Bold! (exclamation mark is part of the name). It's about a Blob, living on a planet in a small town with other blobs. These blobs are cursed with being "very uncourageous", they never travel far from their hometown and DEFINITELY never go on any adventures. Until some strange aliens (called Aeliuns) start using a very large machine called a syphon to sap the energy out of the poor planet's sun. None of the blobs know what to do! Until our hero gets hit with a strange vial filled with red liquid. It fell from the heavens above (or the aeliun ship whatever floats your boat) and shatters on his head. He suddenly gains the power of "courage". He talks to the town "elder" known as Wizer to find out what to do about this travesty. Wizer tells him about a "Realm Gate"; a spot outside town where you can warp to different locations on the planet. Unfortunately, they can only be opened with keys. Keys are found in the different levels. Wizer gives you the key for world one. After you go through the levels, you get transported to the Aeliun ship and fight the final boss.

The game play is a lot like 2D Mario and N combined. Only with some acrobatic moves from Mario 64, such as the backflip, longjump, etc. The levels are designed kind of maze like, with hidden things here and there and a boss at the end of them all.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

PS I shall need help with things that i ask for help with, first of is a good collision system. Thanks.

Hello!
I'm Blargh's partner in crime. I made the music for Bold! and I came up with most of it. :P
Blargh forgot to mention above that this brave little blob is travelling to all these different Worlds/Locations to collect rocket parts rumored to be there. If he collects them all, Wizer says he will try to make a rocket that can carry the blob up to the Aeliun ship. :)
The locations on the planet are called Worlds, respectively.
Also, there isn't really a backflip feature...
And it is kind of like 2D Mario and N combined, but looking back it's actually closer to Super Paper Mario (the controls and enemies and interface.)

Anyway, that just clears up some of the blurry aspects.
Feedback is appreciated!
