Posted: Tue Oct 23, 2007 6:58 amFor sound effects, ogg vorbis works for me. You have to manually change your file paths to .ogg instead of .wav.

ogg is smaller than wave. From what I understand .wav is the .bmp of sound effects. ogg and mp3 are the jpegs.

Posted: Wed Oct 24, 2007 3:21 amNo they are just bigger files. They are not compressed at all. I use .bmp too. When you save a bmp, it stays exactly how you saved it. When you save a .gif or .jpeg, the image changes due to the compression. But the file is a lot smaller.
