Hi, I have only a little question about the showcase forum..
Am I allowed to put my game there or is it meant to be so that only the moderators can place games there? :)

Technically there are no permissions on the forums, but it is meant to be approved games only. If you want to post a game that isn't on the forums yet, you can always send a preview to the mods for quality assurance. Really the requirements are loosely: the game must look nice and it should be decently sized (so as the forum says it should showcase gE's potential by being one of the best games made with gE [also no demo sized games]).

To my mind it should be a restricted section maintained by mods only.
It would probably be the most professional way to:
- Move all the threads back to the development section
- Create a new thread for each game with the title, date of release, a screenshot, a link to the game, a short description, a link to the development thread and a link to the author.
- Organize the game files and host them separately (preferably a GE dropbox account)

Generally it always looks better if something like this follows a proper format.

Yeah, I don't actually have permission to edit the permissions. That was the main reason it hasn't been setup that way. makslane gave me extra permissions so I could redo the forum, but since I'm not an admin, I can't make it so only mods can post. I'll ask him about that.

My only concern with dating them is that it will show irregular pattern in when the games come out. Creating a more professional look though is definitely important.
