It lets you create a rotated image in any increments, amounts, resizing, etc. It's useful in a lot of situations.

This is incredible DarkParadox this is just the program every art developer should have ,i really owe you
talking about GE 1.5 with open GL: is it worth getting this update,i mean,is there any other update to GE exept the open GL that is still a great update.

Well the 1.5 update doesn't add too much in terms of amount, but the things it does add are huge useful features.
For one, 1.5 uses OpenGL as the renderer, which means that all actors can be resized and rotated at will.
The other big update is that a system called Box2D is built it, which is a popular physics engine used primarily in a lot of flash games.

It's difficult to use at the moment, though, and most of it doesn't work together very well. For instance, you have to set the actor's type to a one of four new ones in order to get the physics features and such, and there's no documentation for the new functions or features to tell you how they work. That'll all be fixed or made in time, though.

I tried beta 1.5 once, and every time the actor rotates, the game slows down, and crashes...

Seems interesting! I'll try it some time. Thanks!

Hey thanks for linking that sprite rotator Darkparadox, It looks like it'd work a heckuva lot better than some other tools I've tried.

Also congrats to both contestants! You both managed to achieve more I could with the given time constraints.
I'm looking forward to seeing more from your sabre engine lcl, and also more expansions to Hares' game as well.

THE main theme is rotation OR the effect of spinning
There is no game called rotation to my knowledge that has been posted or made on Game editor

ANYWAY in the next tournament all YOU have to do is to make a game involving spinning EFFECT,ACTORS,CONCEPT......anything that well...........ROTATE
the whole point of a these tournament are to find out your level of creativity
telling you what kind of game you should make will have many bad effects

1-you won't show us what you are capable of
2-you will lose a lot of point because you won't be creating something new
