Sound not working (Windows 7)

I booted up Game Editor but the sound doesn't appear to be playing, Even though the Volume mixture shows the sound levels just fine (as pictured). Sound does play when you export to an .exe, and works in any other application and the system sounds. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem? If anyone has a solution i'd be very greatful (:

P.S. this is the current build, gameEditor1.4.1b.

What format is you sound file in? I recall having similar problems with certain filetypes.

Does other programs work with the sound? Maybe it's a monitor your using?

Good to hear it sorted out. I noticed sometimes, due to a weird glitch when my project got huge in scale, the sound would sometimes not load properly, so I had to save, exit, and reload the game and then it would work. Maybe I maxed out the memory or something. Not sure. It was very rare though.
