Download it here and test it:
http://prodyon-virtual-gear.com/downloads/Phenome.rar
(for Windows, approx. 20MB)

So far you can let it play 7 different sounds on 16 Channels on a 16x16 step-sequencer. You start by
choosing a sound (colour) and place notes on the grid area with the mouse.

So far it features:

- 6 different sounds + 1 electronic drumkit
- random sound mode (drumkit omitted)
- 3 different "sound" placing modes (put, delete, put + delete)
- disable "Put" and "Del" to lock the grid
- 6 different timings (BPM)
- sound muting
- track muting
- erasing the whole grid (CLR)
- play/stop
- individual volume for each sound (lo/med/hi)
- saving and loading of up to 30 patterns w. graphical representation
- choose from 8 global scales
- lovely background full of stars

NOTE: It has been designed yet again for iPhone/iPod Touch - and will be released for Free within the next days!
Let me know your thoughts and have fun!

had some fun with it, pretty great! What is the FPS? try having it at 512 to have the most stable... cuz the irregularities in the beat is an ear sore to me, but it's probably mostly my cpu's fault!

Happy to hear that :) FPS is set to 64. Don´t think it´s your CPU´s fault.
I´m using Timers for the Playback, guess i will switch to Draw Event Mode soon to see if that leads to more stable results.

try having 512 FPS, since it's probably FPS to Timer interpolation that causes the timer to happen between two frames, which would cause slight difference as it will wait for the next frame to operate the action.
I wouldn't suggest you using a frame counter as it will give out a worst result, FPS is never perfectly stable!

This is incredible!

I have one question, were you able to change the pitch of the notes with script, or with multiple sound files?

Yes, i´ve uploaded it, the link is the same as above.

Thanks! :) No! I´m missing pitch-changing in GE very much.
I´ve used 24 sounds for each instrument (except the drumset).

Pretty fun app. Is there anyway of increasing the size of the squares? It'd be awesome if you supported a zoom level, and scrolling.
