I noticed that new members sign up frequently here on GE but I never see them any where on the forums (I know that there are new members because the name on the bottom right of the index page keeps changing). So anyways, if you are new to GE why not say hello and introduce yourself? Just post your name here so that we can all get to know you. This will be sort of the welcome topic for newbies

I haven't been here for that long, but since I've been here, there are almost ten pages that are 98% full of new people who haven't posted anything yet! You look back and there are hundreds of pages like this. (I have heard of a time where you had to register in order to download GE) I hope we're not scaring anyone away To prove we are not indeed scaring you, Say "Hello" Right NOW!! I MEAN IT!! I hope that didn't scare you.

It's a bit scary I guess, all the older ge users seem to have secret innerknowledge of ge haha. Like this inner circle of ge wise men, lol I keep wondering if there's a hidden doc somewhere showing all the stuff I want to ask

The document you mention would be the Game Editor documentation located in the "Docs" folder which came with your GE.
But seriously, there are things to be asked here that aren't in the documentation, so don't hesitate to ask.

I suppose I never really found any reason to post, most of my questions are answered by searching, those that aren't are answered by the awesome tutorials and those that still aren't - well, I found a demo that does the exact same thing, so I just copied it
But have you guys encountered a problem where the code should work but it doesn't?

All the time! But then It's almost always my fault lol. Good rule of hand, when I code something I automatically assume I messed up now lol

Name's Patrick, I work at a big retail store (one who's company has more money than the government), but in my free time I try and be creative. I like to consider myself an idea guy, and I'm finished not doing anything about them, so I got into game-editor to put some into motion. I've made two games (that could probably be called test-demoes at best) but I'm really catching on and hope to start a large project soon, so I'll probably be posting a lot of questions soon. Nice to meet everyone and hope to see you around!
