Hi,

I don't know whether this is the correct method to do this, but I am totally new to Mac and have joined the Developer Program recently. I am getting to grips with Game Salad and even though I come from a programming background, have decided that I am utterly useless at graphics. So.. I am looking for help for creating backgrounds and sprites for my iphone/ipad apps/games. I am looking at recreating a lot of C64/Amiga/GW Games and want to give them a modern feel (gfx-wise). is there anyway out there who would like to produce some graohics for me for these games/apps, be it you take a share or donate whilst I 'learn' then I would be very very grateful.

instead of asking in general, ask for a specific thing/things that way people know if they can or cant do the thing which you ask them for, asking in general wont get many replys. the forum isnt that active, but if you ask for specific items and say what they are and roughly what they have to look like then im sure people would gladly help you.

I'd like to note as well that this request is made by someone using Game Salads and not Game Editor... This could mean a lot less chance for you to get someone to work for you. A couple of years ago someone like you, but from Game Maker asked similar thing, I was the only one who volunteered, I had great experience! Too bad all my efforts ended up useless, but anyhow- I encourage young people with some art talent to take this offer; if the guy is serious enough, this can go on your resume later!

Personally I'd go for this offer, but my life is getting busy due to going to college soon. Spyhunteruk, I hope you're not looking for people only in here, you won't have much chance to find someone...

Thanks for your comments. I am actually swaying between GE and GS but both follow the same basic principle and design.
I have a a variety of ideas and some programming knowledge (although not in Objective C) but need the 'eye candy' to make the apps look good as well as myself designing them to be good as well.. as it's not just about the graphics

What kind of graphics are you looking for? i.e(Ships, Explosions, Scenery, etc)

Looking for main character that jumps both ways and falls into water (splash), turtles that go up and down, fruit, trees and other items

What should the main character look like? and just to be sure this is going to be a side scroller right?
If you could tell me the concept of the game I would appreciate it

like, Is the main character going to be collecting fruit? and turtles are his enemy?

Should I go for basic graphics like these? Or try to spice it up a bit?

How does this Character look? I'm trying to give it the same Pixel blocky
feel as purple turtles had, but with a little bit more color i guess you could say haha.
