Golden Sun Attack and Sound Tester

This is a little game I made themed on the outstanding RPG game for the GBA: Golden Sun.
This is just a little test on how I would make Issac(the main character of the game) attack against a simple dummy.
It also has 4 music tracks from the game that you can listen too. In my main game I'm thinking you get to walk through a maze filled with monsters and at the end you have to fight Menardi(One of the main enemies of Golden Sun) then another maze then Saturos (another main enemy) then 1 more maze and finally you fight both. Then you win! Scores will be depending on time to get through mazes(not including battle, there will be a separate score for that.) It may take a few weeks to finish it for I haven even started the game, just the sprites for I need to edit them just right. Wish me luck!

I also need help on the on the speech boxes. I want to have the bosses talk to Issac before battle. I need to know how to make the additional text appear after pressing enter then when its over it loads the battle file(the battles will be held in additional exes). I need to know how before I'm ready to do boss battles. Remember I just need to know how to make the chat continue after pressing enter. Maby a var? Every enter changes the var up one number. I'll try. But if you have any suggestions please help!!!

GOLDEN SUN IS THE MOST AMAZING RPG EVER MADE!!! Now that this opinion is said, good work Rux! About the text function, did you want one that is simple, or fairly complex like in my Gelman demo?

I think it'd look better with the complex one.

I will announce updates as much as I can to keep up with me. So far I have all the sprites for the map I just need more enemies. These are the enemies I have so far: Slime, Wild Ape, Wild Gryphon, Wild Mushroom, Lizard Man, Orc, Wolfkin, Skeleton, Poison Toad, and last but not least Thunder Lizard.

Ok now I got my TEST story line. I made this to see how I would make characters talk and move without pushing buttons.
Here it is...
Note that to continue the storyline press enter. If it wont work, it may be waiting for a character to move. So wait till they move and then you'll be able to continue.

I'm working on the 1st boss battle (with Menardi) and I got screen shots. On the map I got one maze completed and the first half of the story. I am defiantly going to need script help. What I plan is every boss battle it'll go to a copy of the same map. But it'll save the exact coordinates where Issac was this will act as a save file. I need to save all the vars' number and the X Y coordinates of Issac. If you could help with the save feature, please help me!

I need severe help right now! This Golden Sun Academy Game is turning into a problem! I need help or I might abandon the project! I need help with a save feature. Every time the main player reaches a certain spot in a maze, he has a random chance of just passing by, or fighting a monster. I got the player to go back to the same position as when he hits the box and goes back to it. But my problem is whenever he goes to the invisible box area, he instantly goes to another battle. I want it so he just goes back without fight. HELP!

I don't really know what golden sun is but if I take a look at your examples and look it up in the internet, I get interested in that game!
I hope your game would be great! I'd like to support you where ever I can.
