Windows XP - Freezes when adding more animations

I'm currently using GameEditor 1.4.1b (though it did the same in 1.4.0) on Windows XP SP3.

When I create a new actor, and assign it an animation, as soon as I try to add a second animation, the dialog box opens, but when I click the box to select the file, the program just becomes unresponsive.

On the download page, Windows XP was part of the list of supported Windows platforms, so it should not be a matter of incompatibility.

Thanks for any responses!

@Spectrogram welcome! :) I don't really use XP but If you cannot add another animation just use one animation do a sprite sheet and just create sequences that way you can still have many animations.
Here's a link one of Hblade's tutorials where he demonstrates creating sequences https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIAXv9df0BE

Thank you! (Both for the welcome and for the reply). :)
This method indeed worked for me, and it allowed me to have multiple animations in one graphic file, thus reducing file sizes!
