I have looked through the game settings but can't find a way of changing the starting room. Have I missed something? There's probably a simple answer

In game editor, there are really no "Rooms". Its just 1 giant room. You can make seperate rooms by using Activation Regions, or a tile editor, Do a GE search for a tile editor

Cheers Hblade. That was a quick reply. Probably got the terminology wrong, but I'm having a bash at a graphic adventure and I have a starting room/location or whatever you like to call it and suppose I decide to add an intro screen or something later, I will need to change where the game starts. Is this possible?

It's very easy! Just drag the view where you want! More closely, click the white lines that are the view, and drag it where you want.

Thanks Icl That's a relief, I thought I'd have to re-write the entire game It's that easy huh! I've never tried it.
Thanks a million

I tried it earlier. I don't know how I missed it. The view rectangle just drags to where you want it to go. Just started using GE again after a long lay off and trying to find my way round again.

Ok Hblade, I guess it wasn't all that clear. Thanks to you and IcI for your responses anyway. I'm attempting to make a point & click adventure and not having used GE for quite a while because of Vista issues am having to try and solve problems as I go along. I'm running GE on a netbook on Windows XP and it's a lot more stable than on Vista. Using the 1.39 version which up to now hasn't crashed or thrown up error messages. Might be needing a few more hints on the way so will probably be posting in the forum now and again. Have a super day!
