Hi everyone! I'd like to show the Crescent System, Crescent is a game I'm working on, that I actually plan to complete.. hopefully! :P

Anyway, heres the controls, let me know what you guys think :)

C: Jump - C Again to spinhjump (double jump, also works if your falling off an edge)
X: attack
Arrows: move
CTRL: Run

You can either walk or run.

The movement is bug free, collision with walls is nearly bug free. :)

Also: Works with latest wine :) (1.3)

Graphics done by me

UPDATES:
I added a cave story like screen shake when the enemy gets defeated! :) ITS EPIC

I will release another demo soon

What about us Mac users? :(

But I'm happy you're working on something you're enjoying. As game developers it's important we enjoy making the game as much as we enjoy playing it. It can take 2 or 3 years to complete a full project and you really have to think about how you want to spend your time. Frustrated or enjoying yourself?

Good luck and have fun!

Love to test the new game, But my computer won't let me run it(Frequency out of range). I'm guessing it's because your resolution is set to 480 x 320?
Window view maybe!?

:D

this looks good! I really like the 8-bit style graphics, and the controls are real tight!
Good job Hblade and keep up the good work! :)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys :)

And sure, I can rrelease a ged, but the ged will have enemies :P

Oh and you guys will probably laugh at my sloppy code o-o

But anyways, what needs to be worked on so far that you notice? :)

Should I add a thing where if you spin jump and attack, the shots go everywhere?

The controls seem super tight. which is really good! and as far as the spinning attack, I wouldn't do just because of how much stronger it would make him. Maybe make it an item
you can collect to use it?

I'm making an"SP" system, where you can shop at a save point and upgrade your speed, jump height, and bullets. SP reseta after restarting the game, and its easy to get these minimal power ups. They also reset after quitting the game.

But! I've ran into a bug which I can solve easilly, that bug is: The map variable doesn't change sometimes DX

This is fun. And I love the smooth movement and subtle camera movements. This reminds me of a project that I started on (Never got finished though) ^^

It was supposed to be a full game demonstrating the use of my controller engine. It had a bit like effect like yours has :D
