I've been digitally biting my digital tongue...

...But, how do I upload my completed projects to my GP2X? I have a CAANOO Gp2x and a laptop running Windows 8.1.. My game is compiled to .GED format.

The laptop sees the GP2X so the problem isn't the connection.

How can I see the files that I write in Game Editor to upload and run on the GP2X? I've been biting my tongue and afraid to ask because it seems like general knowledge, like a dentist asking how to pull teeth or asking a heat doctor asking a heart doctor a question that involves ascending aortic aneurysms...

Still, can anyone help me out here?

You need to export the game as a gp2x executable (it's one of the options in the export menu). From there you need to put the executable onto the gp2x.

I think I've done all that. Could you break it down further? I'm probably missing something blatantly obvious here.......
In Game Editor I open the File menu -> export and an "Export Game" window opens
I select " Game Data only for pocket Pc, Handheld PC or Gp2x"
Then I push "Export"..... the window closes and nothing happens?
There is something simple here I'm missing. Is there a online tutorial for this? I'm currently shooting in the dark.

Hi!

First, what Game Editor version you are using? You can see it from Game Editor itself, click [Help] and then click [About], there it shows your version number.

If it says 1.4.1, the issue is there. Skydereign's 1.4.1's second version doesn't export games on Windows at all. That's because 1.4.1 is just a beta currently, and not advised to be used for actual game development yet. However, there exists an older version of 1.4.1, which can export games on Windows, too. If I remember correctly, the version that does export can be downloaded from here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13001#p93161

O.k. , well, my version is Version 1.4.0.

Should I get the download, regardless?

Well, if it's 1.4.0 the problem is somewhere else, all ports should work in that version.

Ok. So, how do I see my (nothing) creation run on the gp2x?

If the export window closes then it should have created a file with the extension gpe in the given directory. If though you don't have the proper bin file to export clicking export would not close the window. Are you sure you are looking in the correct directory for the exported file? And when you have the gpe file than you should be able to put that onto the gp2x using whatever means your gp2x uses to put files onto it.
