Hopefully I can get my friends back into GE as well, we all loved playing the little multiplayer minigames I made when we hung out, but we live in separate towns now.
Some people want advancements to sell games, but I only make them to share with others and play with friends, haha

But anyway, I have to head off for a while, you folk on the forum try to get along while I'm gone

Since it is allowed for you - do it. This is going to make a very nice outlook for outsiders.

I was in a pretty bad mood.

........ wow. It makes me so happy that there are 11 pages to this post. That being said I have FINALLY got my ---- together and I'm finally ready to make some games. I have been planning to do a sort of tutorial series for this engine for YEARS now.. and don't get me started on my ge handheld idea... however good ideas I never actually started progress on them (well I couldn't really do ge handheld due to lack of resources and skill) however, I want to help out in any way I can. This engine is fantastic, even in its current state. I always liked it because it was pretty easy to use. Even the coding was easy to understand. I've always liked it when an entire community gets together like dis. LETS DO IT! :D :D :D

Nope as far as many users here are concerned gE is already dead...

As for a plan? I've got a little plan... I have a feeling that gE in its current form may be impossible to save though I'm thinking it might be possible to save that gE spirit by creating a new program in the likeness of gE that'll be better suited to the modern computer.

Yep that's why gE is half dead... I guess it could be wose though. If the download links for game editor died and we all discard the forum then this place will become a spammers community...

hmmmm, so what to do?
should we rebuilde GE from the bottom up? Or should we just update it? Or should we devise a plan to put GE out there. For all aspiring Game devs to see? These are the only options that I can see...

Or accept that gE is dead and move on.

Stop trying to hang on to something that isn't there.

Just to be clear, your current sentiment towards gE is ever since bat78 was banned right?
Also there is something there, it's an old crashed plane with only a few instruments that work.

no one is working on gE and nobody will probably work on it anymore
here you can find the latest gE version by sky, it includes screen scaling, it may work, it may not but anyway you will have to build the project yourself and it's not that easy
better move on, gl hf
