I'm in the same boat as you. I decided to take my game, Olo the sword Shaman to a more updated creation program. Gm: Studio is pretty legitimate, in all honesty. And so is Unity. I always come back to GE though, at least for the forums and to check on the progress of the latest release. Can't wait to see where you take Axria though, man!

Apologies to those who have wanted a Mac or Linux ports, I'm concentrating on what i know so those systems are out my league.
Also just to update on where i'm hosting the game, I'm trying out the indie site Itch.io, so if you're new here or curious to see where i'm hosting my content, that's where it'll be
Future titles of mine will be hosted on that site too but i'm considering using other software like Game Maker as I'm still waiting on the update for GE. And i've learnt a thing or two from my college course and my friend recently.
Speaking of which I'm also considering working with friends to remake of Retro World for Game Maker so its better optimized for modern computers, again because i'm still waiting on a update for GE.
Not to put down GE as i like it, but I feel like GM's been better realized as of now. If development goes further on GE then heck yes i'll back it. But as of now i feel there's still a lot there could be done to make the program easier to use.
None the less, hope you understand.
Here's the link to Axria Retro World's new page;

Thanks for the update and best success with the game.
Hopefully GE gets more updates by 2016 for those seeking it.

Cool to see that option.
James, what technique did you use to animate your avatar of Axria spinning around? It's nicely animated pixel art. Did you draw it from scratch, frame by frame, or do you have a computer animation program to create a model and then rotate it? I'm guessing you animated it frame by frame.

I can say after all this time, I decided to try this game again, and have beaten it! Almost gave up considering it is now 2:03 AM when I finally beat it and I have classes tomor...today.
I wish Axria, the big one, was made, but oh well. Thanks for making this game James, and I still want that official box for this game!

if only it could work on the likes of this!
https://www.clockworkpi.com/home/page/2/ lots of handhelds poping up now- arm based. there is adaption software like wine called "GINGE" works on later gph releases like wiz/caanoo/pandora. if it could ever be used on a pie... at least there are mini 86x pc's that can play the role of "console". best way the play is on linux xfce shift-mouse-zoom to fill view.
