May Tournament: Night of Horror, an evil plan
Posted: Thu May 01, 2014 8:35 pm
Welcome all who are interested in joining this tournament. You guys decided to pick my evil plan, so here it is. There is no theme at all, just one simple rule. You must turn your game in by 11:59:59 pm central time on the 10th of this month, there will be no exceptions, but listen carefully before you decide not to join. The true deadline is the 21st, you just have to turn in your game by the end of the 10th, it has to be by a pm, and the contents must include a ged, a data folder, and a storyline script if you have one. There is a reason I need this turned in my the end of the 10th. I will grade your games, and then give them back to you on the 12th, and from there, you work on a game for the remainder of the 10 days, so 10 days now, 10 days later. This is a free tourney as stated, do whatever you want, just one more rule: It can't be a game you have been working on, an engine can be used, such as sabre, but that is as far as you can go, everything else must be original, so no working on games that you have been working on.
Now here is the grading rubric:
Theme- x/10- how well does it follow the theme of this tournament? If the theme total is less than an average of five points, you are disqualified.

game-play- x/15- Is this something with replay value, is it addicting, is it something that is was worth playing?
overall- x/20- How do you feel about this game as a whole?
Judge Total- x/95- The judge grading this must add up the above total to get one grand Judge Total.
Judge Bonus- x/10- NightOfHorror (The bonus must enhance the game, if you just put it in, but it adds no value to the overall feeling towards the game, then the bonus will not count).
Master Judge Rubric:
Master Total- x/105j- j=number of judges- Master Judge adds up all of Judges' score to get one grand master total.
Master Bonus- x/10j- j=number of judges- Master Judge adds up all of Judges' score to get one grand master bonus total.
