Good afternoon,
Does anyone have or be willing to put together a simple game tutorial from start to finsh. I did look at the ones on the site and within the software and feel my students could not complete them. I am new to this software and do not know all the ins and outs. This could be a very simple game with as little coding as possible. Any small amount of coding would have to be provided in the tutorial. I want to teach open source software and game creation in my classroom but knowing my students they will give up if they struggle too much. Even if we all make the same game together it could open opportunities for those to do more on their own. Thanks for the help.

The codes in it can be intimitading to the new programmer although

Thanks for the support. I know this could be really good, I just don't want to fumble through a lesson with my novice experience and have students lost or overwhelmed. Of course I have those few students who could really run with it and this could be their introduction.

I made a step by step how to make a platform game for beginners in the main page under the name Krenisis/zxcvbnm . That tutorial is step by step and should be as easy as possible for you or your students. If you need anything more just let us know.

something that might help is to know how old these people are. are we to assume they are in elementary school? sometimes it is better to challenge people a little makes the learning more rewarding and sticks with them. at least you should give them the chance to learn more complex stuff. pretty much games made with ge without script are going to suck. but add a basic variable and the if statement and you can make great games.
