Same for me here.
I do do isometric games just by designing the whole thing like a comic or a movie, with backgrounds, characters and so on, that makes easy 60 - 80 actors per level each actor having up to 5 or 6 animations and yes, z-depth can be tricky to manage this way. But It is worth all the effort.
And yes, no offense intended, but I much apreaciate it when people don't write in bizzare abrevation-languages.
