I tried this, it is much easier to do top to bottom games, since designing is tedious and GE can't tile isometrical very well.

It is possible though, check out this post to take a look at a GE created isometric game:

I don’t know what problems fauldran came across creating this and I've not looked into it myself but it is possible. I'd suggest really getting to grips with GE before attempting anything so intricate though :)

He probably designed the game as whole. As 2 or 3 actors (walls floor and other stuff), I'm not sure on that by the way though, but I guess that from the way the walls are often tucked behind the floor or just not there...

If I was designing that game (I'm a perfectionist by the way, so no offence fauldran... please? That why my typing isnt things like "omg! lol") I would use maybe 50-60 actors just for 1 level, and use 100's of change z-depth events.

Same for me here. ;) I do do isometric games just by designing the whole thing like a comic or a movie, with backgrounds, characters and so on, that makes easy 60 - 80 actors per level each actor having up to 5 or 6 animations and yes, z-depth can be tricky to manage this way. But It is worth all the effort.

And yes, no offense intended, but I much apreaciate it when people don't write in bizzare abrevation-languages.

it was hard for me, ive gone on some online game and i always talked Chat-language, then i came back (like after 2months, thats why i was gone at some time) and then i came back, i almos always talked like that!. it is also this like a proffesional forum or sumthing like that, and no offance, not everyone understand"chat-language"

Yep. Me as an example. I maybe was 1 or 2 times in my life in a chat and I have no clue what most abrevationns mean. The fact that Enlish is not my mother tomgue adds to my problems. But I have to say that even in French (where we call this sort of language "SMS-language" I mostly don't understand a single "word".

And then, its just annoying and ugly.

Oh, but I believe you that if you are used to chat, it may be hard to lay down aquired habits. Thanks for the effort ;)

So more like Diablo 2? that is still isometric, but it tries to fake it over to make it look completely 3d?
