Adding external resources during running

It would be great if GE would have the following feature: Adding external resources (png files, midi files etc.), while the game is running.
Maybe there's a "custom" file with the game, where some data is stored but GE can't load the stuff, because if a file format of the creator of that game and not known. The programmer could write a script that reads that file and creates the real files, such as a PNG file, to load it into the game. The "custom" file could have stored information like "fill image with green, draw line xy etc.", which wouldn't need much memory. I know I could also use canvases, but what's about the sound?
I think more resource handling functions should be added into GE.

I definitely agree with this, it will also help with data transfer between .exe's and .dat's (.ged's too)
it will also bring GE one step closer to letting me have real-time smooth interacting windows :3.

Good suggestion? And why didn't you say that earlier? Didn't you find this topic before? :D

Long time ago I had asked whether it was possible.
I received "no" as an answer but somehow forgot to make a request.
Besides, I'm making too many requests already.
