The last sonic game he made was a full blown game with story, cinematics, and everything else. You won't be disapointed :P

It's called Sonic: Empire of Nightmares - and here's your little link: http://game-editor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10334 now, compared to Sonic: Velocity, it's a long way off, but - hopefully you enjoy it. :D

And thanks guys for the kind words Hblade and Supersonic - you've no idea how much motivation that brings. :)

Coming along rather nicely, luckily - I've just begun work on the first boss battle, and so far it's turning out pretty damn well I gotta say - already it's shining in comparison to Empire of Nightmares' battle engine, which is a personal goal of my own to beat of course. xD

Just another progress update for you, folks - sorry for the lack of posts on the forum regarding Sonic Velocity as of late. Been too busy actually making said game rather than talking about it. xD

Here's a list of somethings that are now done, and some things that are planned to be done:

*Chapter 1 "Ascending into Darkness" is now complete! This includes Stage 1 Act 1, Act 2, and the first boss battle - not to mention the numerous fully-voiced cutscenes. B-) Once I put the final touches to it, I'll release it to a number of testers to give me some feedback.

*Level Engine is finished, and is in the RTM stage. I'm still considering the implementation of Parallax Scrolling for the backgrounds, although my efforts so far seem to just break other sections of the engine when I attempt to make it work.

*Boss Engine is complete and ready to go! Some of the main improvements over Sonic: Empire of Nightmares include enemies that respond to your actions intelligently, depending on the course of the battle - no player-dependant responses now - just potent, intelligent villains to take you on! Aside from this are a few other enhancements and features that make boss battles really unique and stand out from the norm - I won't be too specific as of yet what these are but you'll see for yourself someday soon, hopefully. ;)

*Plot has been finalised and cutscenes are in the works. Of course, full voice acting for every character is a major new leap forward from the games predecessor, along with improved animation, effects and an epic soundtrack, featuring songs from games such as Sonic Generations, Final Fantasy XIII, and more!

*Plans for a Chao Garden are in discussion with another dev who has agreed to collaborate with me on this particular feature.

So, in a nutshell - making progress!

Just because I was bored, I decided to throw up the current state of the main menu, which has gone through many different variants.

The piece of music featured in the game really captures the emotional state of the two protagonists in the story. (Unforgotten, by Martin O'Donnell)

Anyway, Youtube doesn't do the real thing any justice - butchered the framerate and overall quallity. As usual. ¬¬
