I'm about to start a new game, and I'm thinking of using GE 1.4.1. However, it's still in Beta, so it probably has some bugs. Could someone who has experience with both tell me if I should, or keep with 1.4.0?

In general I'd recommend using 1.4.0 for now. The major drawback of 1.4.1 is the currently non-existent mac export. If that isn't an issue, it does provide quite a few productivity boosts. Theoretically the final version of 1.4.1 will be compatible with the beta, though I can't make any guarantees and the final version won't be coming out until possibly late summer. So it's up to you, 1.4.0 is the safer choice.
