Bee-ant is right when he says 1st learn 2D. I give you an example go to the general forum and look at the 3D effect type tutorial I made. Learn that and that is not even 3D but just the effect of it in a 2D game. Run the demo and play it ...its very short demo but just look at effect. Now try to make that game 1st and if you understand how it works you be closer to making 3D games if you dont understand it then 3D will be way tougher than that . Now I will make in the future a 3D demo but the coding will be ridiculous, and complex. When I do hopefully i can get bee-ant,hblade,DST,mr.jolten,and skyderiegn to help me with some details. I probaly start within 2 weeks but i cant promise.

Its very good, but you have to script everything (in 'lite C'), so its not easy.

I like to create 3d games and that i'm looking. I'm learning more about 3d programming. From use i think it is better to use Ge for good 2d games. If you want to create a 3d game first you want to design your own characters and coding.
I used Game studio A7. Not just that i used many game engines, i don't want to say all name :D :D :D . A7 is good and simple coding. But i think there is no importance for coding or a GAME ENGINE. You can do that using any basic program even in c language. I founds some good looking 3d program in c and c++.
Even you can create a good 3d game using notepad. You can edit or create new missions in GTA using a notepad application[ i never tried it in GTA 4]
For creating 3d games i recommend VISUAL BASIC .NET or better use C# or PYTHON. CIVILIZATION 4 used PYTHON for base. If yopu are capable then you can create a 3d game in OLD VISUAL BASIC 6. But all these 3d game programming requires knowledge to control direct x.

there would have to be a command that initializes 3d, If that were possible, I could make a GE version of one of the games I'm making in GM.
(GE does not support addons like GM)

Well even thou GE isnt 3D if you learn coding and a little art , you can make similar effect. I dont think GE is ever going be 3D but i think no one (including myself) has used GE to full potential. Iam constantly learning new things. Iam starting a 3D creators club where people can
post how they created 3D effects on GE. Together we can figure this thing out. Here is photo of 3D game Iam working on,not complete yet.

What most of us want is a 3d engine with the simple, visual, easy to use interface like what GE has, one that gives you the ability to learn as you go along, and neither putting too much effort into your part, nor taking away your creative ability by doing EVERY SINGLE THING for you. GE allows you a great deal of freedom, and yet helps you a great deal on the harder things.

So most of us want a 3d engine that has a very similar interface to GE, hence, a 3d GE.

I have three 3D game creators you don't have to code to use.
  • 3D Rad
  • 3D Game Builder
  • FPS Creator
You need to buy FPS creator to export the games. You cannot export games in 3D Rad. In 3D Game Builder, i don't know.

It's also Blender Game Engine - 3d game engine which comes along Blender 3d graphics software. It's really powerful.

Game editor uses coordenates X and Y , you only need to put the Z coord. and you can make in 3d

Easy to say...
Okay, let me know how will you do it???
How will you make the rotation function?
How will you make the scale function?
How will you make the 3d object reader function?
