I bought the silver package of GE.
But last time I looked at the page where you could buy GE all the different packages seemed to have vanished.

makslane'd removed the silver package, so there's just golden package (last info I've got)
I dont know the reason, maybe to avoid the "service-managing" of different package.
GE now is just a part time job, so I think makslane too lazy to manage the service of different package...
The service such as 1 year free update for golden, and no free update for silver, etc...

Which means the free version you get with 30 points is better now!

Wow, "too lazy". I believe he has been forced to get a full time job doing something else because too few people were paying for GE; so now he doesn't have as much time to maintain and develop. But development continues, even if it is slowed. I don't think he's the lazy one.
