A different method of rotating actors?

Is there a way to rotate actors without making all the seperate animations for them? For ex.: say I wanted to have a tank with a barrel that followed the mouse. I would want the "frames" to be as gradual as possible, but making animations for that would take forever. Would it be possible to rotate the actor using GE? (I'll give a point to anyone who can help)

nope.
it's the biggest problem I've ever faced in GE.

you can use a program that does it for you.

uh-huh, my problem is that it will take forever to rotate an actor which displays an animation at the same time.
you'd have to make an extra animation for each rotation frame, and use animindex (or what's-it-called?) and this will take for E-V-E-R !

(Kalladolf) - I know, I wish there was some sort of function that we could use. (has this been talked about in the feature requests?) btw, I'll give you a point anyway.
(game-a-gogo) - What software is this?

I generally find the best way of multi-fram rotations is to make each animation a full rotation of one animation frame, rather than a full animation of one rotation frame (if that makes any sense).
