Making a commercial game

I still haven't actually made anything using it but that's why I'm asking this now.
Can I make commercial games with GE and what formats can I export it into?
I'm looking for a software I could use to create my long platformer project. I will give GE a try since I'm not a very good coder, yet I need the game making software to offer freedom for the game maker, eg no ads or other forced stuff. I think this is where GE will deliver.
