How do people make GE tutorials besisdes using a video camera to tape the monitor? For further explination: I want to make a GE tutorial, but I dont want to have to video-tape the monitor. Is there a way that I can make a movie of whats on my computer screen, using some kind of software or something that records the monitor? :D

Windows media encoder is free if you have a valid copy of windows. you can find it at the windows update website. The problem with this way is that it uses a good deal of computer RAM and resources. It can be hard to get the settings just right.

If your graphics card has an extra S-video output, you can attach to a external (non computer) DVD burner. This method uses no computer resources; it just uses a clone of the screen. Looks really nice, but you will have to edit it to crop out things like menubars and parts of the desktop.
