Well my thought is, why not create a flash video that covers all aspects of the youtube video and more, reducing the need for text on the main page.
It also seems to be the new trend among game engines.
I did make this..
http://www.game-editor.com/Testpage2It is based on the old design, but i think it should be subpage which will be linked by the flash video on the main page

I checked this new version out it seems like the same one but with a different twist. Iam hoping to keep this subject alive because this is a permant and important change for Game Editor. My hope is more people join this debate and chime in. Once the new interface is implemented i dont want to see people who didnt join the debate complian. If you want to help join in now or forever hold your peace.

I agree that the video should be on the front page. Maybe you could look into another host for the video file if the youtube bothers you? I don't think it is all that unprofessional, I have seen many websites use it. I also think there should be more information actually about GE on the front page. You want to tell the viewer what you are offering and why they would want it as soon as you can, not several links into the site. Also, the pagerank seems like it should go in the footer. I realize the flash video is not done yet, but seeing the same thing repeat over and over is kinda annoying. I really prefer youtube or another video displayer so that I can choose when to watch it.
Just my thoughts...

Hi there,
I was on another site looking at 3d game solutions and stumbled upon this:
http://buchhofer.com/?p=216I couldn't help but notice it had the exact same design as the new game editor site.
Is it the same designer or a reusable template?
Just wondered.
Cheers,
Marc
