I'm new to Game Editor and these forums so I don't know if i'm in the right topic...

Anyway, what art program can I use for Game Editor? I have a team and we're trying to create an RPG with SNES-ish art. Anyone know a program for this?

You can use any program you want, as long as it exports to a format gE can use (png, bmp, jpg, gif). If your team has people who are used to doing art, then they'll have their own preferred tool sets. Even if they don't, they can really use whatever. Pixel art can be done in almost any image editor, I personally use gimp for it.

I moved it to game resources, since the question was about creating sprites.

I've used and still do use a few different programs. It really depends on what you're going for.

-Macromedia Flash 8
-Adobe flash cs5
-Photoshop cs5
-Gimp2
-MSpaint

for example; If I want to do really simplish pixel style graphics, I use MSpaint/Photoshop. When I want to animate I'll most likely use one of the Flash programs(I like Macro Flash 8 alot more than cs5 for some reason. Been using it longer maybe?). Or if I'm trying to make backgrounds/clouds n whatnot, I'll use gimp.

So, like Sky said, It really is the users preference. Good luck to ya!
