What do people do here to rotate their images, like for a ship in astroids....i've seen some topics with people needing the code for rotateing movements...
but how do people rotate the images? i've been using GIMP, but it's taken 3 Hours to get to the 90th frame Ugh, to get to 360 would be annoying, is there a program i could use or a gimp trick?

well rotate is good in paint for 90, and 180 degrees, but thats not very helpful, so i use macromedia flash or adobe fireworks... they arent free tho

You mean like this? Since you had already done the 90 degrees, I just saved them as 4, rotating three of them by increments of 45. Then I combined them. All through the gimp. You don't need all 360, that is just the smoothest. You can rotate at any degree increment. 1 is really the smallest you can hope for, but you could do it by 5, or whatever you are willing to sprite.

Caaz, I trust you've used GIMP to rotate this? I haven't found the function yet where you can rotate automatically.

The Gimp Animation Package could do it, I think. But since I upgraded to 2.6.6, I lost it. I have tried to install it again, but to no avail.

@kall. yes. too much time on your hands if you can do 360
@ skydereighn, i was thinking of making some scripts to do this kind of stuff, but i'm not sure how to make any. i know you can though so yeah...
