Ok, here's the project I have been working on the the past week! I need some opinions before I continue developping it though, so I can make this game as fun as possible. I know their is basically no color yet, but don't worry about that, I have the concept mostly planned out for this. More specifically, I want to hear if anyone:
A. Found bugs in the game's mechanics
B. Likes the concept
C. Finds the mechanics too tricky
D. Finds anything annoying
E. Thinks some things need improvement
F. Anything else!
Since the mechanics are fairly extensive. I decided to make this to help you in the testing process.
Your comments are appreciated in advance!

Also, could you tell me which of these two options you would prefer for world and map conception:
A. Tons of levels (More like Megaman)
B. A Huge world map to explore (More like Metroid)
If you couldn't tell, Gelman is inspired from several characters, namely: Megaman, Samus, Kirby and Game and Watch (With a face OMG!). The Megaman aspect isn't quite visible... yet. It will be a lot more once I get everything I want in their though!
Please do answer this post, otherewise I'll have to follow my own design instincts!
Cheers!

i like huge map
you need a way to not be a rocket anymore because you can fly forever
and for this type of game i think Big levels would be cool
but either way is good

lol, thanks for the advice Spidy, we'll see what I can do. Umm, just to give you an idea, Gelman stands for gelatinous humanoid (LOL) so he is actually both gel and human... -ish! Also, he will have the ability to change his color by doing and getting "stuff" which I will not reveal, and that will modifify namely his attack and other aspects of the controls.

There are a lot of posibilities for a gel guy. Kind of like how in paper mario they have him fold up into a paper airplane or little boat, you could have this guy shoot himself out of a sprinkler system or evaporate himself into an air vent or things like that. Maybe he could find an air pump and pump himself into a bubble to float to higher areas?

Possibly! These are all things I have to consider as I build the game itself. We'll see what results of this in the end, right now this is just the start... I hope you enjoy it when its done!

wow, this is really good :O
I am really impressed by your animations, I can barely do someone walk like that, good job!
I also go for big levels, but make sure to add activation regions

You should make a history to your Gelman, with enemies to defeat, and it'll be easier to make a game to your gelman. Very good idea to do, congratulations!

I'm glad you guys are liking this. Just to let you know, all the animations are made in paint, and I already have a basic map layout (Hint: has to do with different colors). Right now, I'm taking a little break from Gelman and programming a simple puzzle game in order to experiment using matrices effectively in C. So far its looking great, the game structure is nearly complete, then I'll only need to make tons of puzzles for your enjoyment.
That's all for now!
