someone please help

alright this one seems hard for me to do.when i use mario and a mushroom i use the change actor action when mario collides with the mushroom so he gets big.but after i let go of the keypad button he becomes small.how do i make it where he stays in that form even if i let go of a button?you answers are helping me alot and are getting me one or more steps closer to making the mario game of the century.Bowsers Revenge....

In current version of GE, you must make a new Mario "animation" which is bigger than the normal Mario. I'm not sure if I understood correctly your question, but I wish you good luck for your Mario game.

ok you know when mario runs into a mushroom he gets bigger?well i have that animation.but when i use change animation once i collide with the mushroom its only temporary.how do i make it permanent?

I'm sorry I didn't find a good way to change the size of Mario permanently. :( I tried to make a variable for each animation (each animation has two frames, both animated gifs) wich is zero in the beginning. When you collide with the mushroom, the value went to 1 and animations changed to 2nd frames in each animation. It was difficult and when I tested it, it didn't work. (when I collided 2nd time on the mushroom, Mario went back small)
:D But I found another easy way to do it!!! :D
You can make two Mario actors. Small one and bigger one. When the game begins, the smaller Mario is there. When you collides with the mushroom, the bigger Mario appears and the small Mario disappears. It will look like, the Mario transform to bigger. :D
I hope this helped :)
Maybe Makslane or another GE legend knows better way.

Make two Mario (one that is small, and the other big) on the big one make the inherit event of small marion, on small marion and on colision to mushroom, make him destroy himself and create the big mario, on the big mario, on colision to a enemy, make him change to small!

and if you want to have an animtion between, use cjange animtion and animtion finish!

Going back to the original idea of changing the animation, you could set an "animation finish" on the bigger mario anim and use it to "ChangeAnimationDirection" to stopped, that way it should play through once and then stop at the last frame.
